A Maritime Transportation company located in Port Said is hiring a Civil Execution Manager position
Job Description:
- Project execution and contract monitoring methods. Supervise the execution of all types of Civil Engineering works and capable of handling FIDIC contracts
- Know how Quality Control & Quality Assurance standards. Ensure contract conditions and standards are met. Prepare and maintain QA/QC records
- Monitor and maintain the required and necessary flow of documents ensuring appropriate and required
- Follow up on project progress.
- Contribute tothe process of tendering, technical evaluation, and internal bid evaluation and approval process.
- Organize the total spectrum and flow of documents about thecontractors and sub-contractors compliance with the Labour Act and regulations.
- To carry out joint measurements of the work carried out, and verification of bills submitted by the Consultants and Contractors.
- Ensure contractor/sub-contractor follows company requirements derived from prevailing laws and regulations of the country.
- Ensuring contractors/sub-contractors invoices are processed and paid promptlyas per contractual provisions/company policy. Ensure commitments in the form of contractual provisions and estimates to completion.
- Monitor internal controls and administrative procedures put in place to ensure effective project control of time, quality, and finances.
- Assist Management in the development and implementation of risk management, claims management, and non-conformance management in respect of projects/contracts.
- Ensure the production of project estimate-to-completion and project cash flow forecast.
- Prepare regular project cost reports for planned projects and works under execution.
- Ensure contractors, consulting engineers, etc. understand the financial consequences of decisions and put forward alternatives, if deemed beneficial to the company.
- Coordinate the planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting activities of the department.
Qualifications:
- A Postgraduate in Civil Engineering from arecognized university will be preferred.
- Minimum fifteen years of experience inexecution of civil engineering & site execution works.
- Experience in geotechnical/paving design & execution is essential, also structure design/execution is desirable “Experience in marine quay wall construction will carry additional weight”.
- Experience insite execution works of port projects or port maintenance will carry additional weight.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Primavera “experience in AutoCAD is a must.
