A multinational company located in Sheraton is hiring a Steel Structure Design Engineer position
Job Description:
- Deliver projects on time and to quality and budget.
- Originator of specification and calculations to international codes of practice.
- Originator of design drawings package.
- Checking of calculations and drawings.
- Be able to work with limited supervision.
- Adapting to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.
- Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Division.
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
- Multinational projects and international-firms experience arestrongly preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in the design of steel structures such asSteel Structure Buildings, Process, and industrial steel structures, Wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants andStations, substations transamination towers, “electrical or else’.
- Experience working in steel structure design of particularbuildings, industrials, water, and wastewater trunk mains, reservoirs, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment works (One area is essential, 2 or more preferred). UK, USA, and Middle East experience are preferred.
- Experience withsteel structure detailed design drawings and calculations.
- Familiarity with steel design codes IS/BS, ACI, SBC, ECP, and AISC Codes of Practice.
- Knowledge of analysis and design of steel-plated structures and steel tanks.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel proficient.
- Drafting design and analysis software like Staad, Sap, and Etab & Basic knowledge ofdrafting software AutoCAD, TEKLA, and Revit.
