A multinational company located in Sheraton is hiring a Highway Group Engineer position
Job Description:
- Project Manager/ Team leader of large design teams.
- Provide technical guidance within design teams with minimal external guidance.
- Preparing a budget, resourcing, and delivering to the budget and agreed time frame.
- Ultimately responsible for correct delivery.
- Responsible for the implementation of engineering works in accordance with the project's work program, organizing and supervising the team's work, including engineers and draftsmen.
- Organize and supervise the team's workand provide relevant engineering works and/or advice to the project team, as applicable.
- Responsible for using the effective design of Roads, Airports, preparation of drawings, contract documents, etc.
- Verify that all designs, drawings, and documents are to codes and standards and in accordance with the Firm policies and manuals.
- Coordinate with consulting engineers and/or contractors on all matters necessary for the implementation of the work program of the project.
- Active contributor to technical promotion, e.g., internal case studies, papers, etc
- Produces design solutions from outline briefs and correctly interprets data, and communicates it to others
- Undertake multi Discipline project management with experience in providing full project management and lead consultant duties.
- Managing own workload and the workload of subordinates within a matrix management structure.
- Takes responsibility for writing effective sections of technical reports
- Active and responsible for the technical growth of subordinates.
- Take an active role in our client's community through its national and international forums to share best practices and pursue joint initiatives.
- Apply Atkins Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).
- Designing local road schemes and maintaining the road network
- Working with other professionals to build and maintain roads
- Finding new solutions to transport problems
- Planning for highway maintenance and improvement projects
Qualifications:
- Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College
- Have relevant experience in the region of around 12 to 15 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features
- Experienced user of design software likeMX, Civil 3D, Bentley Open Road, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in international Standards like AASHTO Standards
- Experience implementing quality standards and procedures
- Very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects
- Master'sDegree in a highway civil department
- Working as technical lead or project manager on international projects
- Experience in the design of grade-separated junctions
- Working knowledge of ME highway design standards
