A multinational company located in Sheraton is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position
Job Description:
- Ability to lead a team and create plans for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Coordinate with other trades through periodicmeetings.
- Technically competent and ableto use engineering judgment independently to determine solutions
- Prepare early design concepts and, assign mechanical spacerequirements, prepare design drawings and calculations.
- Prepare Technical Reports and contractual documents of acceptable technical and presentational quality with minimum guidance.
- Apply new ideas/digital ideas to improve efficiency and solutions and processes.
- Receive on-the-job technical training through performing tasks with minimum supervision.
- Good knowledge of work procedures and ensuringwork adheres to procedures.
- Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
- Able to work as a reliable and proactiveteam member, able to apply knowledge gained.
- Able to work on several projectsand to communicate clearly with a range of people, including making presentations. Flexible and enthusiastic; team player.
- Conversant with MS Office tools.
- Experienceworking on MENA projects is a must.
- Review technical material submittals, shop drawings, contractor bids, and specifications.
- Supporting and mentoring, with the possibility of formal line management responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Must have 7 to 12 years of experience
- A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) and pumping stations.
- Experience producingdesign documentationand drawings, including pioneeringreports and specifications of mechanical systems.
- Experience in producing design calculations of mechanical systems for (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting).
- Familiar with working on designing national and international codes as well as standards appropriate for (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting) industry.
- Ability to produce hydraulic calculations for mechanical equipment, equipment datasheets/specifications, and schedules.
- He/she should be conversant with various (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting) mechanical equipment.
- Pipe and Duct sizing, pump sizing, tanks, cooling loads, and static pressure calculations.
- General Arrangement drawings for piping and mechanical equipment. Isometric drawings. P&IDs, PFDs, etc.
- Software - AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and Elite are essential and should have aworking knowledge of 3D Models, etc, such as Navis works.
