A multinational company located in Smart Village is hiring a Production System Administrator
Job Description :
- Administration of the servers’ park, supervising servers and services
- Developing and launching new system services (mail, monitoring, central authentication)
- Automating deployments and administration with open-source tools (saltstack, graphite, Nagios, …)
- Investigating technical issues, troubleshooting and deploying fixes
- Network and server security
- Participating in R&D on NoSQL DB, system multithreading and data crunching
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Qualifications :
- Academic training in IT
- Good working knowledge of Debian linux systems and standard services (DNS, email, web hosting, ssh, cryptography, security)
- You know everything can be automated and all manual work can be simplified and streamlined. You have an extensive knowledge of IT and technology in general.
- Must be pragmatic. You are willing to embrace change in a fast-growing company. Attention to details and rigor in execution.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator,Network Administratoror similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
